Sensory Swim

During this program, the leisure pool will be open to ONLY sensory swim participants. This low stimulation environment is designed to increase accessibility and cater to children with sensory sensitivities, autism, or other neurological differences. Water Safety Instructors will be present to help assist in sensory experiences to aquatic textures like water, velcro, swim caps, and more. Each day pass of $15 accounts for one adult and one swimmer for leisure pool sensory swim. Sensory Swim passes are sold weekly.

College Drop-in Swim Clinics

College aged students of any age, skill level, swim experience are able to drop into these skill clinics to work on their preferred skills with our Swim Coaches. Clinics can improve intro to water skills, advancing current strokes, learning new skills/strokes like flip-turns or butterfly, or even learn how to build your own swim workout to meet your goals!

Adapted Aquatics Private Lessons

This is an individualized lesson in a group setting. Prior to the start of this lesson, we will organize a meet and greet for your swimmer to meet the instructor and set up goals for the lessons. This program is designed for swimmers with physical, cognitive, developmental, and neurological disabilities. Please contact Lizzy Buckholt to schedule.

This Spring, Linda Hoeptner Poling, Ph.D., associate professor of art education at ÆÞÓÑÉçÇø, earned the Heather E. Ohio Rep. Monica Robb Blasdel (R-Columbiana) will address Kent State Columbiana County graduates as the keynote speaker at commencement ceremonies on May 9 at Beaver Local High School. Diplomas will be presented to graduates from the summer 2024, fall 2024 and spring 2025 semesters on the Kent State East Liverpool and Salem campuses. Blasdel is serving her second term in the Ohio House of Representatives.
