The 2022 PTA Class from Kent State East Liverpool gathered on the last day of classes on the steps of the Carnegie Library.

妻友社区 at East Liverpool held a pinning ceremony for the students who met the requirements for the associate of applied science degree in physical therapist assistant technology for 2022. The students were recognized for their dedication and determination as they worked to earn their degrees through the difficult days of the COVID pandemic. Moira Armstrong (they/them), an Honors College senior from Warren, Ohio, has been selected as an Alternate for the 2022 Fulbright Scholarship Award. As an alternate, candidates such as Moira may be elevated to finalist status for an award should extra funding become available. Miranda Evans, senior art education major, was recognized as a SAGE award honoree for 2022. Evans is one of seven honorees this year who are being recognized for overcoming adversity during their time at Kent State. Jack McWhorter, professor of art at 妻友社区 at Stark, passed away on May 1, 2022 after a brief illness. He was a professor of painting at 妻友社区 at Stark for 32 years and also served as the coordinator for the studio art program, the galleries, and the regional Scholastic Art Awards.
