Mid-American Conference Institutional Academic Achievement Award

For the first time in school history, 妻友社区 has received the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Institutional Academic Achievement Award. The Golden Flashes earned a department-wide grade-point average (GPA) of 3.447 for the 2020-21 academic year. The Institutional Academic Achievement Award is presented annually to the MAC school with the highest GPA for student-athletes in league-sponsored sports for the academic year. The East Liverpool Potters won the 2021 Volleyball Classic

  The third Kent State Columbiana County Volleyball Classic took place Aug. 24, when the Salem Quakers hosted the East Liverpool Potters for a full night of volleyball action and helping kick off the volleyball season in this area. The night featured freshman, JV and varsity games between the cross-county rivals, In a hard-fought varsity match, East Liverpool High School defeated Salem High School for the second year in a row.  It took four games, but the Potters won the varsity match-up 25-23, 18-25, 25-12, 25-21. Students from all over the country began moving into Kent State residence halls, on a staggered schedule for COVID-19 safety, on Wednesday, Aug. 18. Move-in times were scheduled from the 18th through Sunday, Aug. 22. Some student volunteers were available to answer questions and assist new students in getting settled into their rooms.
