Record-Breaking Attendance at the 2019 Ohio Latino Education Summit

The 2019 Ohio Latino Education Summit broke the record for registration numbers when 妻友社区 hosted it for the first time in November. The Ohio Latino Education Summit is an annual event that brings students, educators and congressional leaders together to discuss issues that impact the education of Latinos in Ohio. 鈥淚t鈥檚 the largest ever. Dean Kahler speaks at the memorial service for slain students, Sept. 28, 1970.

Dean Kahler was one of the nine students wounded in the May 4, 1970, shootings at 妻友社区 that also claimed the lives of four students during protests of the Vietnam War. Kahler has been paralyzed from the waist down ever since he was wounded; however, his tragedy has not stopped him from living his life to the fullest. To qualify for the President鈥檚 List, students must have a 4.0 grade point average and must have completed 15 hours during the semester. To qualify for the Dean鈥檚 List, students must earn a 3.40 or greater grade point average and must have completed 12 or more credit hours for the semester. Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) affects 1 in 10 women, roughly five million nationwide, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In addition to infertility, PCOS increases the risk of type 2 diabetes and other metabolic disorders鈥攁nd there is no cure.
