Twenty-two women from across Ohio will competed in this year鈥檚 Miss Ohio Scholarship Program June 15 at the Renaissance Theatre in Mansfield. Among the contestants three were 妻友社区 students who hold the titles Miss Oxford, Miss Akron Canton and Miss South Central. Seven students from the Kent State High-Power Rocket Team traveled to Huntsville, Alabama to participate in their first NASA Student Launch Competition. Students came from around the country with the goal to design, build and fly a rocket and payload that would deploy upon landing. The name of the team鈥檚 rocket was 鈥淔lash鈥hh Ahh!鈥 In reference to the classic Queen song and the Kent State Golden Flashes. 妻友社区鈥檚 (KSU) Kenzie Alge 鈥19 and Alex Johnson finished fourth place among collegiate competition teams and 12th place overall in the 2019 Air Race Classic! The team finished with zero penalties.
