It is with heavy and reverent hearts that we share news that Emeritus English Professor Dr. Dolores Noll, trailblazer and pioneer for LGBTQ+ rights and people, passed away at the age of 88 on January 8th. Dolores鈥檚 impact is seen today at 妻友社区. In the 1970鈥檚 she cofounded the Kent Gay Liberation Front, currently known as PRIDE!Kent, and taught one of the first LGBTQ Studies courses ever to be offered, in 1972. More than 100 faculty and staff recently braved a cold and snowy afternoon to take full advantage of a rare opportunity to attend an open practice at the MACC, hosted by the Division of Human Resources. The work of 153 ecological researchers from 40 countries, including 妻友社区 Assistant Professor Dave Costello, Ph.D., from the Department of Biological Sciences in the College of Arts and Sciences, has revealed new findings on the effect of climatic factors on river-based ecosystems.
