It鈥檚 difficult to find information about the late William (Dan) Southall on the Internet, and that鈥檚 a shame. He was a brilliant student, artist and educator who stockpiled his own art in a humble way, leaving behind a collection that included ceramic sculptures, paintings, sketches and drawings. In September 2015, 妻友社区鈥檚 College of Public Health was awarded a $357,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services through its Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration to fund Project AWARE Kent. One of the main purposes of Project AWARE Kent was to train 720 students, faculty, and staff in Mental Health First Aid (a class that trains you to assist someone experiencing a mental health or substance use-related crisis).
