Candace Bowen, associate professor in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication (JMC) and director of the Center for Scholastic Journalism, is a finalist for the 50th annual Distinguished Teaching Award (DTA). For the first time, 妻友社区鈥檚 College of Nursing has been awarded the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training (BHWET) Program grant. Ten finalists have been chosen from a pool of more than 200 nominees for the 51st annual 妻友社区 Alumni Association Distinguished Teaching Award. The 妻友社区 Alumni Association recognizes Kent State faculty members with this award annually. The Distinguished Teaching Award is the most esteemed honor that Kent State grants to three full-time, tenure-track faculty members.
