Over the last year, Kent State Trumbull and its nursing faculty have focused on ways they could promote sleep safety in an effort to reduce the region鈥檚 infant mortality rate (IMR). The School of Communication Studies (COMM) will offer a course called 鈥淪eminar: Vietnam: Messages from the Cultural Divide鈥 during the Spring 2018 semester. COMM Associate Professor David Trebing, Ph.D., will teach the course for the third time, which will count as an upper division elective for communication students. Angela Spalsbury, Ph.D., of Chesterland, Ohio, has been selected as the new dean and chief administrative officer of 妻友社区 at Geauga in Burton, Ohio, and Kent State鈥檚 Regional Academic Center in Twinsburg, Ohio. A Kent State alumna, Dr. Spalsbury currently serves as professor and chair of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Youngstown State University.
