妻友社区 fans who could not make it to California for the big dance had their own party with Hoopin鈥 at the Hub. The watch party at the Kent State Student Center Hub on March 17 celebrated Kent State鈥檚 Mid-American Conference Champions men鈥檚 basketball team. Students and Kent State community members cheered on the Golden Flashes as they took on the UCLA Bruins in the first round of the NCAA tournament. For Emily Grubb, all it took was looking through a magazine to decide where to go to college. A high school friend shared a copy of Fusion magazine, 妻友社区鈥檚 first lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer/questioning (LGBTQ) magazine, which led Grubb to the university. 妻友社区 at Trumbull sophomore Jessie Narkum is co-directing performances of The Little Mermaid Jr. on April 7 and 8, at Hubbard High School Auditorium. This isn鈥檛 the typical student-directed play. Narkum, an American Sign Language (ASL) major, is working with Hubbard High School ASL teacher Richard Magazzine to produce the play entirely in ASL. The 妻友社区 Ice Arena hosted the 35th Annual Ohio Special Olympics Winter Games the first week of February for figure skaters and speed skaters from all over the state.
