Charity?

Sadly, many scammers will capitalize on the goodwill that flourishes this time of year by asking you to make a donation to a charity that does not actually exist. Charity scams involve scammers collecting money by pretending to work for a legitimate cause or charity, or a fictitious one they have created. Often scammers will exploit a recent natural disaster or crisis that has been in the news. They may also play on your emotions by claiming to collect for a cause that will secure your sympathy, for example to help sick children.

Career Bio:
Since January 2023, I have been an Associate Buyer at Target in Minneapolis. This role has allowed me to begin utilizing my merchant skill set in strategy creation and implementation to the product categories I operate. Prior to Target, I was a Merchandise Analyst at Nordstrom for full-price and off-price channels.

The time you took to share your feedback (701 unique survey responses), and the tremendous consultation the Faculty Advisory Committees (FAC) and College Advisory Committees (CAC) did so thoroughly and carefully (more than 60 consultation documents), presented clear paths for opportunities to move forward. Are you ready for Kent State’s biggest eggs-travaganza? Our third annual glow-in-the-dark egg hunt is bigger than ever with a new location! The MACC will go from hoops to hops with thousands of eggs waiting to be discovered on the basketball court. Everybunny will gather a dozen glowing eggs and discover if they’ve chosen any that contain a golden ticket to an amazing prize, all the while enjoying an adults-only dessert reception.

Two drink tickets are included, with additional alcoholic drinks available for purchase. Guests must be at least 21 years old to attend.

Join us for an enchanting evening that celebrates the talent and creativity of Kent State’s emerging filmmakers. This film screening blends the excitement of an indie festival with the welcoming spirit of our campus community. Before the screening, enjoy an opening reception with refreshments and dessert, and wine during intermission.  The event will showcase a curated selection of five short films, documentaries and narratives from Kent State students and alumni.
