When do I get my class schedule?
When students attend DKS, they meet with an Academic Advisor as part of the program. During this meeting, the Advisor will review requirements for your major and any academic credit you have completed, like college credit plus classes, AP credit and placement test scores. Students attend this appointment on their own. Once you complete this advising appointment, you will leave with your class schedule for the upcoming semester. Your Academic Advisor will also provide their contact information if you have any questions.
Do parents or support members need to attend DKS?
We welcome family members and support members to attend orientation. We recognize that they play an important role in student success and want to ensure they鈥檙e included. This is a great time for family members to learn more and connect with departments on campus that offer student support throughout the year. There are parts of the orientation program specifically designated for the student and parts of the program specifically designated for the family member.
