East Liverpool Nursing Faculty is Finalist for 2016 Teaching Award

Three recipients will be awarded this year on Friday, October 21, 2016.

ELIGIBILITY
  1. A faculty member must have been on a non-tenure-track or part-time contract at the Kent Campus or any Regional Campus of the University for a minimum of five consecutive years (annually, not necessarily every semester), including the current academic year. Returning emeriti are excluded.

  2. Those receiving the awards must be on contract during the Fall semester in which the awards are presented.

  3. Those who received an Outstanding Teaching Award previously are not eligible.

’s Regional Campus System is launching a new series of workforce development programs designed to help local professionals strengthen the essential skills needed in today’s workplace. The program, titled “Upskill at Kent State – Bringing Workforce Development to Your Community,” is part of a statewide initiative at all eight Kent State locations across the Regional Campus System.

James C. Hannon, Ph.D., began his appointment as interim dean and chief administrative officer of Kent State Salem and Kent State Stark on July 1. “I’m truly excited to begin this new chapter alongside everyone at the Salem and Stark campuses. I’m quickly learning that these are warm, dedicated and passionate communities and I feel incredibly fortunate to be joining them,” he said.
