There was no way the COVID pandemic was going to keep a group of students and faculty members from doing something they really wanted to accomplish this past academic year: publishing a literary journal to showcase the creative talents on the Salem Campus. Elizabeth Howard, an award-winning instructor in the Honors College Freshman Honors Colloquium, passed away on April 10th, 2021. Catie Woodward is a third-year honors student from Canton, Ohio, majoring in nursing. Though she has had many other accomplishments in her time at Kent State, Catie鈥檚 most recent success was performing undergraduate research in the nursing program.As part of her nursing major, Catie had to complete research with a nursing faculty member and present her research at a podium presentation in December of 2020.
