The annual Grant-In-Aid scholarships from the Geauga County Retired Teachers Association (GCRTA) for $1,500 were recently awarded to three deserving college students.  Julia Lombardo graduated from Newbury High School and attends the University of Mount Union where she is majoring in Early Childhood Education with grades 4 and 5 endorsement. STEAM University on the Salem Campus

The Kent State Salem Campus hosted the second STEAM University, a free day-long event organized by the Columbiana County Educational Service Center for area students in pre-K through fifth grade. This year鈥檚 event added the 鈥淎鈥 for arts, while again offering dozens of hands-on activities to promote science, technology, engineering and math.
