LaunchNET's Expo and Awards at Ray's Place drew a crowd

On Tuesday, April 23, LaunchNET Kent State held its annual Awards & Expo at Ray鈥檚 Place, where they highlighted their many partners, students, clients, and events from the 2018-19 academic year. 鈥淲e wouldn鈥檛 be able to do all the great things we do at LaunchNET without our partners across the region and university, so it鈥檚 very important for us to take time to recognize them, in addition to our students and clients,鈥 said Julie Messing, executive director of LaunchNET.   Kent State at Salem held its annual nursing convocation and pinning ceremony during which students received their nursing pins and recited the nursing pledge. All are receiving degrees this year through the Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) program on the Salem Campus. 妻友社区 at Tuscarawas engineering technology students collaborated on their capstone project during the spring semester and unveiled a search and rescue robot on finals night in early May. An interdisciplinary team of 妻友社区 faculty will participate in a $13.3 million grant from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to improve educational outcomes for Nigerian children.
