Anthony Ervin, four-time Olympic swimming medalist, will speak at 妻友社区 at Stark on Feb. 27.

After winning his first Olympic gold, two World Championships and seven NCAA titles, Anthony Ervin retired at age 22 in 2003. He then spent several years traveling the world and spearheading tsunami relief efforts in Southeast Asia, before resuming his Olympic dreams. His memoir, Chasing Water: Elegy of an Olympian was released in 2016. A four-time Olympic swimming medalist, Mr. Ervin claimed gold and the title of fastest person on the planet in 2000 in the 50-meter freestyle. As 妻友社区 alumna Christine Vodicka fights Stage 4 cancer, people often ask her how she is doing, and she replies, 鈥淚鈥檓 living the dream.鈥   Ms. Vodicka鈥檚 dream is to help other students succeed the same way her tutor at Kent State helped transform her from a struggling freshman to a student who graduated magna cum laude in 2000.
