Beyond Compliance

Look for the BC label

Beyond Compliance (BC) courses support a culture of care at 妻友社区 by ensuring that faculty and staff are fully up-to-date and aware of the relevant laws and university policies regarding discrimination, harassment and violence prevention.

A total of two hours of BC training are required of all staff each fiscal year, and strongly encouraged for Tenure Track/Full-Time Non Tenure-Track faculty. One of your two annual BC hours should be a gender-based discrimination or harassment course (for example, a Title IX course).

A variety of trainings and webinars available through Kent State have been assigned Beyond Compliance status. Qualified courses will include "BC" in the title and denote the number of BC hours. (Ex: BC 1 hr)

How are Beyond Compliance credits assigned to sessions?

Our office collaborates with many university partners to offer various topics. If you or your department has a workshop you would like to submit for BC consideration, please contact L&D@kent.edu.
