University Advisor Council Purpose
The purposes of the ÆÞÓÑÉçÇø Advisor Council are as follows:
- To serve as the advisory group for all advising staff, regardless of identity 
- To act in an advisory capacity to the Advising Deans of ÆÞÓÑÉçÇø on existing and emerging issues, not related to wages, benefits, and/or terms and conditions of employment, that affect advising staff and the broader advising community 
- To provide a forum for discussion and recommendation of best practices and ideas for policies, practices, and procedures related to academic advising  
- To promote communication and engagement among academic advising staff, the Advising Deans, and advising offices 
- To provide a forum for the exchange of information between advising staff and the Advising Deans 
- To foster a spirit of respect, dignity, unity, and cooperation for staff among the academic advising community 
- To provide staff with an effective way and safe space to ask questions, express concerns, and provide suggestions to the Advising Deans 
- To provide referrals for individual concerns and problems to appropriate University resources 
- To share the responsibility with the administration, students, and the University community in achieving the goals in Kent State Strategic Roadmap
