All eyes have been on Northeast Ohio the past several weeks as the �������� and The University of Akron’s men’s and women’s basketball teams battled it out for the MAC championship title. It wasn’t always such a bitter rivalry between these two Northeast Ohio legends, however. Just look at this old footage we found of Flash and Zippy bonding back in the day.

Flashes gathered on Thursday to give the Golden Flashes women's basketball team a spectacular send off as they boarded the bus for their first NCAA championship game against Notre Dame.

Dress Up for Downs, a Kent State student organization recently held its 8th annual fashion show fundraiser . The event, themed "Hollywood Heroes," featured a runway show with designs by Kent State fashion design students and raised over $3000 for the Down Syndrome Association of Northeast Ohio.

In honor of Pi Day, students, faculty and staff gathered for the Slice of Pi event to sample ice cream and pizza pies from dining locations across campus.

One of the many take-aways from the Dialogue and Difference program "Understanding and Combating Islamophobia" was that overcoming Islamophobia and other forms of racism and bigotry may be as simple as remembering the lessons we should have been taught as children.

The Kent State Golden Flashes men's basketball participated in their third consecutive season of MAC championship play. In a hard-fought final game, the Akron Zips narrowly outscored the Golden Flashes to advance to the NCAA championship playoffs. 

Design Innovation is about sharing, stitching together extracurricular, cross-disciplinary and collaborative design innovation projects and experiences and sharing them with the �������� community. On March 11, the stitching was literal.

Wednesday, March 20th, from 7:30am - 3pm, is the final E-cycle electronics recycling event of the spring. Members of both the campus and city of Kent community can recycle used electronics through Infinite Electronics Recycling, LLC, an R2 certified recycler, where materials are handled in an environmentally and socially responsible way.
